Soldiers live a selfless life. They sacrifice their own safety, time with their family and friends to ensure round the clock safety at the borders. They have to brave inclement weather, tough climatic conditions, difficult terrain and unexpected attacks to ensure peace and tranquility at the borders so that any disturbances at the borders do not spill over to the country. Many soldiers have died doing this.

Unfortunately, we are living in a troubled neighborhood. Our neighbouring countries are always trying to undermine us, by sending terrorists to infiltrate into India and make lives a living hell for Indians. The Army and other paramilitary forces are doing all they can to ensure we are safe.
We can’t even imagine what can happen to us if it weren’t for the brave soldiers guarding our borders who do everything they can to ensure full security to us round the clock. Some of these jawans have also laid down their lives to ensure full safety to us.
On the other hand, we generally take our safety and security for granted. We live our lives without worrying about the plight of the soldiers who are working day in and day out 24×7 to ensure our safety. It is high time we recognize their hard work and dedication. We need to financially support them and those who have laid down their lives for us.

As a working class Indian, we generally take our safety and security for granted. We generally do not realize how much time, effort and money goes into ensuring complete peace at our borders. We do not realize how many sacrifices the jawans at the borders make to ensure our complete security- they do not get to meet their families for months, live in extreme temperatures with only basic living conditions and have to do strenuous physical work.
We need to realize that without their hard work we cannot live peacefully. We need to salute them, respect them and try to help them.
